Book this skip → Our man and van clearance service sends a two-person team to your door. They do the lifting, loading and disposal for you. You pay only for the volume of waste actually taken, measured in cubic yards once it is loaded into the vehicle. There is no skip to position on your drive, no permit to apply for and no waiting around for a collection day. We take furniture, white goods, bagged household rubbish, garden waste and light commercial clearance. If a sofa will fit through your door and into our vehicle, we will take it. Electrical items such as fridges and freezers are accepted but are charged separately because they require specialist recycling under WEEE regulations. We cannot accept asbestos, clinical waste or any hazardous materials regardless of volume. This service works well when you have a single bulky item, a small clear-out that would not fill a skip, or a property where there simply is not room to stand a skip. We cover Faringdon and the surrounding 30-mile radius, including towns and villages across Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and West Berkshire. Same-day and next-day slots are usually available on request.

How is the price worked out if I am only paying for the space I use?
We quote a minimum load charge that covers a small volume, typically up to around two cubic yards, which is roughly the equivalent of a transit van quarter-full. Beyond that, the price steps up in cubic-yard increments. We will give you a fixed price before any work starts once the team has assessed the volume on arrival. You are not charged for an empty skip sitting on your drive for a week.
Can you take a fridge, washing machine or other white goods?
Yes, we can take fridges, freezers, washing machines and other large appliances. There is a small additional charge per item to cover the cost of taking them to a registered WEEE recycling facility. This is a legal requirement and applies to all operators, not just us. Please mention any appliances when you book so we can allow time and confirm the charge upfront.
Do I need to be at home while the team works?
You need to be present at the start so the team can assess the load and agree the price. If you need to leave after that, it is usually fine as long as we have access to the items and a way to reach you for payment. Let us know your situation when you book and we will work around it where we can.
What happens to the waste after it is collected?
Everything goes to a licensed waste transfer station. Items that can be reused, such as furniture in reasonable condition, are separated for charity resale where possible. Metals are sent for recycling. General waste that cannot be diverted goes to landfill or energy-from-waste. We are a registered waste carrier under the Environment Agency, and we can provide you with a waste transfer note for your records if needed.
