Commercial & Trade Skip Hire
Business waste solutions for sites, shops, offices and industrial units.
Instant skip price
Fixed, all-inclusive: delivery, 14-day hire, collection & licensed recycling. Price shown includes VAT.
Commercial and trade waste covers a wide range of materials, and the right skip depends on what your site is producing. For general office and retail waste, cardboard and packaging, or a shop fit-out strip-out, a maxi 8-yard skip is usually the most practical choice. For heavier construction and demolition runs, 20-yard or 40-yard roll-on roll-off skips give you the volume and the weight allowance to keep a site moving without constant swaps. We hold a Waste Carrier Licence and can issue waste transfer notes for every collection, which you will need for your duty-of-care records under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Trade accounts are available for contractors and facilities managers who need regular collections, with agreed pricing and a single monthly invoice rather than paying per lift. Bulk cardboard, clean timber, and inert materials are segregated at the transfer station and recycled wherever possible. Hazardous waste, clinical waste, and WEEE cannot go into a standard commercial skip. If you have those on site, contact us beforehand and we can arrange separate specialist collections or point you to a licensed contractor. We cover a 30-mile radius from Faringdon SN7 7SS, including Swindon, Oxford, Abingdon, Wantage and surrounding towns.

Commercial & Trade Skip Hire, FAQs
Do I get a waste transfer note for compliance purposes?
Yes. Every commercial collection comes with a signed waste transfer note. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, businesses have a duty of care to ensure their waste is handled by a licensed carrier and disposed of correctly. We are a licensed Waste Carrier. Keep the transfer note for at least two years as inspectors can ask to see it.
What size skip do most commercial sites use?
Retail fit-outs and office clearances usually go with an 8-yard maxi or a 12-yard maxi. Construction and demolition sites generating heavier mixed waste tend to use a 20-yard RoRo, which can take around 10 to 12 tonnes depending on load density. For ongoing site waste with high volume but lighter materials, a 40-yard RoRo is an option. We can advise once you describe the site and how quickly waste is accumulating.
Can we have a trade account with regular scheduled collections?
Yes. If you need regular collections, weekly or fortnightly for example, we can set up a trade account with agreed rates and a monthly invoice. This avoids the need to book and pay individually each time. Contact us with details of your site, rough volume per week, and how many collections you anticipate and we will put a quote together.
What commercial waste cannot go in a standard skip?
Clinical and medical waste cannot go in any standard skip. Neither can bulk WEEE (electrical and electronic equipment), confidential paper, asbestos, paint, solvents, oils, or any other hazardous substance without prior arrangement and specialist handling. Cardboard in bulk is accepted but worth separating if you have large quantities, as we can arrange dedicated cardboard collections that keep recycling rates higher.
